What is phishing?

Phishing is a type of scam where fraudsters impersonate legitimate organisations—often banks or financial service providers—to trick individuals into sharing sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, or login credentials. 

Be cautious of: 

  • Emails or SMS messages asking for personal or payment information 
  • Links to unfamiliar websites 
  • Unsolicited attachments
